One Outdoors & Lyttelton Kayaks

Kayak Hire

We have a fleet of nine ‘Necky Amaruk’ two person sea kayaks on a custom built trailer, complete with life jackets, spraydecks, and paddles.
We have four ‘Necky’ single person kayaks that are available as guide boats if required.

Inflatable Kayaks

We have five ‘Sevylor’ two person sit-on-top kayaks, and one single sit-on-top. We have found that these kayaks are sought by people traveling the South Island who do not wish to carry a plastic double kayak on a roof rack.
Conveniently located at Cass Bay which is about twenty minutes drive from central Christchurch via the Lyttelton Road Tunnel.

An additional $10.00 Cleaning Fee may be charged for each kayak that is returned dirty, or has been used on a fresh water river or lake.
Didymo Disinfectant Kits will be issued for all hire kayaks intended to be used on fresh water.
There is a fully refundable fee of $45.00 for each kit. Treatment for Didymo when moving between waterways is mandatory.
